Master Nathan WinkelmannHaving started shotokan karate at hsok in 1990 (at 8 years of age); mr. Winkelmann received his master rank (5th degree black belt) in August of 2015 and his 6th degree in 2024. As the owner and chief instructor of HSOK, Master Winkelmann can often be found overseeing the dojo's classes and creating new courses for our ninja warrior program. Winkelmann’s forward-thinking philosophy has directly lead to the creation of new outreach programs and classes.

Sensei Chelsea WinkelmannSensei Chelsea Winkelmann, 4th degree black belt, has been a member of Huntsville School of Karate since 2000. Mrs. Winkelmann received her 4th degree in 2022. Mrs. Winkelmann has competed in martial arts at the international level and holds multiple world championships in kumite.
Today, Sensei Winkelmann runs the day-to-day operations at hsok- planning classes and teaching our students. sHe also serves as the lead instructor for HSOK’s alpha omega karate program and homeschool classes. |
